Last week Carole Thate (director of the Johan Cruyff Foundation), Carolien Gehrels (Alderman for Sport of the Municipality of Amsterdam) and SoccerID, organiser of Gestion Copa Amsterdam, announced they would work together on a new football festival and platform: Football Valhalla.

The participants in the Copa Amsterdam 2010 were announced on RTV Noord-Holland in the programme Noord-Holland Sport on Sunday, 14 February. This year the Gestion Copa Amsterdam will be played for the first time in the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam, as the heart of the Football Valhalla.

15-07-2009  Eerste editie van 4 Nations Cup groot succes!

In juli 2009 heeft SoccerID in het Olympisch Stadion in Amsterdam de 4 Nations Cup georganiseerd. Voor het eerst in de historie van het vrouwenelftal nam het team van bondscoach Vera Pauw deel aan een internationaal top-toernooi in eigen land. Het Nederlands vrouwenelftal eindigde op de 2e plaats, achter winnaar China.

01-06-2009  Johan Cruijff verzorgt prijsuitreiking Copa Amsterdam

Nederlands beste voetballer aller tijden, Johan Cruijff, heeft de prijsuitreiking van Copa Amsterdam 2009 gedaan. Cruijff bezocht twee dagen van het evenement dat een record aantal bezoekers mocht verwelkomen. AZ Alkmaar versloeg Ajax in de finale.
